Columbia Metropolitan Airport opened a multi-level parking structure on October 16th 2003. The project, which began in February 2001, now has 1,837 parking spaces in the parking garage with 40 handicap spaces and 1,668 spaces of uncovered parking available in the surface parking lot, which includes 15 handicap parking spaces. Both parking areas combined gives the traveling public 3,505 available parking spaces.
Three choices are available to pay garage and surface parking fees:
1. Take a ticket to enter the lot or the garage. Upon exiting the parking facility, use Auto Exits 3 or 4. Insert the parking ticket in the reader and then insert a credit card of your choice. The reader displays the fee and automatically charges your credit card, prints and dispenses a receipt and opens the gate for you to exit.
2. Take a ticket to enter the lot or th e garage. Keep the ticket with you. When you are ready to leave, you may pay inside the terminal at the Republic Parking Pay Station located in the main lobby near the Information Desk. Insert your parking ticket to pay. The ticket will recode as paid to allow you to proceed through the exit booth. You will only have 20 minutes from the time you pay to exit the parking facility without incurring additional charges. Drive to the exit plaza and enter automated lanes 3 or 4 and insert the ticket.
3. Take a ticket to enter the lot or garage. Exit through one of the Cashier lanes and pay the cashier at the exit booth.
