Sacramento International Airport opened October 21, 1967, as Sacramento Metropolitan Airport. Prior to this date, all commercial airline flights through the Sacramento region were handled at the current site of Sacramento Executive Airport, formerly known as Sacramento Municipal Airport.
The airport was initially served by five airlines: Pacific, PSA, United, Western, and West Coast.
In 2006, Sacramento International Airport became one of the first airports in the nation to offer free wireless Internet service (WiFi) to its customers.

HOURLY PARKING GARAGE

• Hourly parking for Terminal A is available on level 1 of the parking garage
• $2 per 1/2 hour for each half hour or part thereof
• Maximum = $31/day

Please note that the garage has separate entrances for hourly and daily parking. Follow the signs to the lot of your choice.

TERMINAL B HOURLY PARKING

• This surface lot is closest to Terminal B
• $2 per 1/2 hour for each half-hour or part thereof
• Maximum = $29/day

PARKING GARAGE - TERMINALS A & B

• Daily parking for both Terminals A & B is available in the parking garage on all levels.
• $2 per 1/2 hour for each half hour or part thereof
• $17/day maximum
• The pedestrian bridge from the garage to Terminal A is on the 3rd floor of the garage
• The pedestrian bridge from the garage to Terminal B is on the 5th floor of the garage

DAILY SURFACE LOT- TERMINALS A & B
The Daily Surface Lot is located prior to the entrance to the garage on Airport Boulevard.

• $2 per 1/2 hour for each half hour or part thereof
• $12/day maximum
• Shuttle service provided at 10-15 minute intervals.

ECONOMY PARKING LOT

• $10 flat fee for the first 24 hour period.
• $2 per half hour, or any part thereof, for the second 24-period, up to $10 maximum per day
• Shuttle service provided at 15-20 minute intervals.

All parking at Sacramento International Airport is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
