Vivint Arena is one of the premiere sports venues in Salt Lake City, providing guests an indoor, vibrant arena for concerts and Utah Jazz basketball along with other sports and activities. With a record including hosting the Winter Olympics, NCAA Basketball and acting as the home of the Utah Jazz, it can be difficult to catch onsite Vivint Arena parking unless you book ahead of time with BestParking. The venue originally came about as the replacement for the previous home of the Utah Jazz, the Salt Palace. It opened in 1991 as Delta Center following a naming rights deal with Delta Airlines. In a 2006 deal with the EnergySolutions company, the venue was named EnergySolutions Arena until 2015, when the rights were purchased by home security firm Vivint. The venue was subsequently renamed Vivint Smart Home Arena, shortened to Vivint Arena in early 2021. The venue hosted the short track speed skating and figure skating events for the 2002 Winter Olympics, during which it was known as the Salt Lake Ice Center. In addition to the Utah Jazz, the former Delta Center has been the home of the Utah Starzz of the WNBA as well as AFL and IHL teams. Previous concerts at Vivint Arena include Metallica, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billy Joel, Elton John and Lady Gaga, among others. Vivint Arena is often in demand due to Utah Jazz games, concerts from major artists and more, making it important to book onsite Vivint Arena parking in advance with BestParking.
