Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, is located in downtown Detroit with
a historic warehouse as part of its architecture and is comprised of
approximately 1.85 million square feet with four levels of suites, a level
of club seating, and a ground level designated for concessions and retail.
Ford Field claims some of the best sight lines of any football stadium in
the United States with a total of 65,000 seats. In 2017, there was a $100
million renovation to the stadium that included new video boards, updated
premium offerings and more.
Ford Field has hosted multiple large-scale shows and events since its
opening in 2002 including Super Bowl XL, the 2009 NCAA Final Four and the
2010 NCAA Frozen Four. The stadium has been home of the MAC Football
Championship since 2004 and the Quick Lane Bowl since 2014. Notably, Garth
Brooks set a Ford Field attendance record of 74,000 at his sold-out show on
February 22, 2020. Other recent shows hosted by Ford Field include Taylor
Swift, Ed Sheeran, Beyoncé & Jay –Z, Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan stadium
tours. 2022 marks Ford Field's 20th anniversary.
