About Orlando:
Orlando is a city in the central region of the U.S. state of Florida. It is the county seat of Orange County, and the center of the Greater Orlando metropolitan area. Orlando is nicknamed "The City Beautiful" and its symbol is the fountain at Lake Eola. The city is also sometimes nicknamed "The Theme Park Capital of the World", as it is best known for the Walt Disney World Resort.

Orlando has a humid subtropical climate with hot and humid summers and warm and dry winters. Orlando is located far enough south in the subtropical zone that it is in the broad transitional zone from Cfa climates to Aw (tropical savanna).

Parking in the city of Orlando:
Like all other major cities in United States, the city of Orlando has a metered parking system too. If you wish to report an out-of-order meter, please call the parking division at 407.246.2450. There are many on-street meters located around Downtown Orlando. All of the meters accept quarters, nickels and dimes. The majority of the meters also accept the Meter Debit Card which can be purchased at the City of Orlando Parking Division.

On-Street Meters are enforced Monday - Saturday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Meters in parking lots are enforced 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For Event Parking, There are 11,000 parking spaces available for Amway Center events within 14 parking garages and surface lots. To locate all of the parking garages on a map, reserve/pre-pay for the parking and get directions to your parking place of choice go to CityofOrlando.net and access the parking page.

Of the 11,000 parking spaces:

• 5,000 spaces are less than a five minute walk to the Amway Center (2,100 directly adjacent)
• 2,500 spaces between a five and ten minute walk to the Amway Center
• 3,400 spaces available via LYMMO
